Getting started
What is Bustlely?
Bustlely helps you find people and things to do near you — activities, spaces (groups around a shared interest), and trips with friends. Every feature points toward doing something together, whether that's a run, a game night, a trip, or a coffee with someone new.
Who can use Bustlely?
Bustlely is for adults 18 and older. You'll enter your date of birth when you sign up. Accounts that belong to anyone under 18 are removed. See our Child Safety Standards.
Is Bustlely free?
Yes. Bustlely is free to download and use — finding people, joining and hosting activities, chatting, and planning trips are all free. An optional Bustlely Plus membership adds extras.
Which phones does Bustlely work on?
Bustlely is available on iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Download it here.
What are vibes?
Vibes let you organize the different sides of you — say, running, board games, or meeting new people in your city. When you switch to a vibe, Bustlely tailors the activities, people, and spaces you see to match it. You can create as many as you like and switch any time.
Account & sign-in
How do I sign up?
Download the app and sign up with your email address. After that you can sign in with your password or with a one-time code we email you.
I can't sign up, or my account says it's suspended
On a shared or second-hand phone this can rarely happen by mistake — for example, if a previous owner's account on that device was suspended.
Email support@bustlely.com with the email address you used and we'll review it.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, choose to sign in with an email code instead. We'll send a one-time code to your email address. If you no longer have access to that email, contact support@bustlely.com.
Can I change my date of birth?
Your date of birth can't be changed in the app once it's set. If you entered it incorrectly, email support@bustlely.com and we'll help.
Safety & privacy
Who can see my location?
Other people see your approximate area and distance — never your exact location. Bustlely doesn't share a live, moving location with other users.
What does "photo verified" mean?
Photo verification means the person took a live selfie that matched their main profile photo. It isn't an ID check, and it resets if they change that photo. You can verify your own photo for free from your profile.
How do I report or block someone?
Use Report or Block on any profile, post, message, or activity in the app. Blocked people can't see or contact you. Reports are reviewed by our team, and safety reports are prioritized.
For urgent safety concerns, email safety@bustlely.com. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
Any tips for meeting people safely?
- Meet in a public place the first time, ideally at a group activity.
- Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting.
- Keep conversations in the app until you feel comfortable.
- Trust your instincts — you can leave, block, or report at any time.
Read our Community Guidelines for more.
Ads, partners & Plus
Why do I see ads?
Ads help keep Bustlely free. Ads are only personalized if you opt in (on Android); on iPhone they're never personalized and we don't track you across other apps. You can change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy.
What are partner links?
Some experiences and products come from trusted partners, such as tours and activities or gear for an activity. If you book or buy through a partner link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Bookings and purchases happen on the partner's own site, under their terms.
What is Bustlely Plus?
Bustlely Plus is an optional membership that adds extras, including:
- No ads
- A gold member check next to your name
- Travel mode — be seen in another city before you arrive
- A monthly spotlight to feature one of your activities nearby
Plus is billed through the App Store or Google Play. You can cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; you keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
Can I charge people to join my activity?
Not right now — Bustlely doesn't process payments between users. If you agree to split costs with others, that's between you. See our Terms of Use.
Your data
How do I delete my account?
Delete your account in Settings in the app, or at bustlely.com/delete-account. You have 29 days to change your mind by signing back in; after that, your personal information is deleted or de-identified as described in our Privacy & Data Policy.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Request a copy at bustlely.com/data-request.
