1Information You Provide

We collect information you give us directly, including: account and profile data (name, username, email, phone number, password, date of birth/age, photos, bio, interests, and optional attributes such as languages, industry, and preferences); content you create (posts, messages, activities, spaces, trips, comments, and media); payment and subscription information you submit to our payment processor; and communications you send us, including support requests and feedback.

2Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Platform we automatically collect device and usage data, including device identifiers, operating system and app version, IP address, log and diagnostic data, crash reports, interactions and feature usage, and approximate or precise location (see below). We and our providers use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to operate, secure, analyze, and personalize the Platform and, where applicable, to measure and serve advertising.

3Location Information

With your permission, we collect location information to power discovery of nearby activities, spaces, trips, and people, and location-based features such as maps and "Nearby." Depending on your settings and OS permissions, this may include precise device location while you are using the app; we do not collect location in the background. You can control or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; some features may not work without it.

4Contacts

If you choose to use contact-matching or invite features, we access your device contacts with your permission to help you find people you know and to send invitations you initiate. We use contact data only for these purposes, apply rate limits, and do not sell your contacts. You can decline or revoke contacts access in your device settings.

5Camera, Photos, and Microphone

With your permission, we access your camera, photo library, and microphone so you can add photos and media, set a profile picture, and participate in audio/video calls. We access these only as needed for features you use.

6How We Use Information

We use information to: provide, operate, secure, and improve the Platform; create and manage your account; enable discovery, matching, messaging, activities, and calls; personalize content and recommendations; process payments and subscriptions; conduct research, analytics, and product and feature development; train and improve artificial-intelligence and machine-learning models; communicate with you; provide customer support; run marketing, promotions, and advertising (including interest-based advertising) and cross-sell with affiliates and partners; detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and safety issues; enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines; and comply with legal obligations. We may create and use de-identified and aggregated data for any purpose.

7How We Share Information

We share information: with other users according to your profile and activity (for example, your public profile, content you post, and information shared in activities, spaces, and chats); with service providers and processors who work on our behalf (see below); with advertising and analytics partners; with affiliates and business partners for joint or cross-sold offerings; when you connect or transact with third parties (such as booking or ticketing providers); for legal, safety, and security reasons, including responding to lawful requests and protecting rights and safety; and in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information for money; certain sharing for targeted advertising may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under some U.S. state laws, and you may opt out as described below.

8Service Providers We Use

We rely on trusted third parties to run the Platform, which may process your information under our instructions. These currently include, among others: Amazon Web Services (cloud hosting, storage, authentication, and notifications); Stripe (payments and subscriptions); Amplitude (product analytics); Sentry (crash and error reporting); LiveKit (real-time audio/video calls); mapping and geocoding providers; and activity, travel, and ticketing partners for bookings. Each processes data subject to its own terms and safeguards.

9Advertising and Analytics

We use analytics to understand usage and improve the Platform, and we may use your information to deliver and measure marketing and interest-based advertising. On iOS, we will request your permission before tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). You can adjust device-level advertising and tracking settings and exercise the opt-out rights described below.

10Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and for legitimate business purposes. Retention periods vary by data type and context. De-identified and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.

11Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials.

12Your Choices and Rights

You can access and update profile information in the app, control permissions (location, contacts, camera, photos, microphone, notifications) in your device settings, and manage communication and privacy preferences. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising, "sale," or "sharing," and to appeal a decision. California residents (CCPA/CPRA), other U.S. state residents, and residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR/UK GDPR) have additional rights. To exercise rights, contact privacy@bustlely.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

13Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app’s settings, or request deletion by contacting privacy@bustlely.com. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain it to comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements, and except for de-identified, aggregated, or derived data (including data used to train models) and standard backups, which may persist.

14International Data Transfers

We operate in the United States and may process and store information in the U.S. and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.

15Children’s Privacy

The Platform is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. Contact privacy@bustlely.com if you believe a minor has provided us information.

16Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform, by email, or by updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
